Shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, officers from the New Rochelle Police Department were dispatched to the Regal New Roc Stadium theatre, where there was a report of a person acting suspiciously, Police Capt. Cosmo Costa said.
According to Costa, there was an emotionally disturbed person shouting to people, causing concern, though he was unarmed.
The man - whose name is not being released - was transported by police officers to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
The man was escorted to the hospital without further incident, police said, noting that there was not a credible threat.
